The New York Times article about sunglasses yesterday claims sunglasses are the new it bag. Sunglasses may be more popular than ever, but the true ‘luxury’ brands in the sunglass world, aren’t the brands from the fashion world.
Though each fashion house has at least one line of sunglasses or eyewear; they aren’t produced at the same high standards as the independent hand-made brands. We try to educate one consumer at time showing contemporary brands that use old world technology, new brands that use new technology, and vintage that becomes the basis for all the fashion lines of today.
Look forward to specific comparisons between items on the market today and their original inspiration. All found at Silver Lining Opticans

One of my favorite celebrity eyewear aficionados is Jay-Z. We’ve worked together for a few years now, and I always love the way he styles himself. Check out this recent pic of him at a Cold Play concert rocking some vintage Dunhill

This is a great example of how even someone who has their own eyewear empire (Rocawear for Jay-Z) sports vintage because it can’t be beat in terms of quality craftsmanship, original design, and timeless style. I have one pair of these left. Come in and check them out for yourself.
