The movie “Papillon” (1973) with Steve McQueen & Dustin Hoffman was another great movie featuring eyeglasses. Dustin Hoffman as counterfeiter Louis Dega however was in desperate need of some high index lenses which were obviously not available on Devil’s Island, but are available at Silver Lining.
