NYC based Creative Director Damian Prado has been a good friend for over five years. I love his Saturday visits and today he was wearing the SLV x OC Rodenstock Aviator with custom G-15 Prescription lenses. Good Look.

My favorite Rabbi, Adam Mintz, came through the shop the other day more excited than I’ve ever seen him. His idea is genius! These are the first Kosher mints available. Rabbi Mints are available now at Silver Lining Opticians and a portion of proceeds are donated to charity. We were so honored to be his first stop with his new product which as you can see features a great photo of Rabbi Mintz in his Silver Lining Opticians Hydrogen Specs. Learn more about Rabbi Mintz at his site.

Ryan Gosling came to visit us pre-production of “Blue Valentine” looking for eyeglasses for his character. Ryan requested we put a prescription in his glasses (even though he doesn’t need it) to magnify his eyes so it would look more realistic. Needless to say the magnification was too much for him to wear and we switched it back to plano (no prescription). Ryan is such a great actor that he didn’t need it anyways.

Our very good customer, Mr. Anlsey Brown Jr., from North Carolina, paid us a visit this morning looking more dapper than ever. This guy looks better dressed for a day of shopping than most of us on a job interview!
