We are so pleased to announce that we now have a great selection of Lee Allen Eyewear available at Silver Lining Opticians. Lee Allen Eyewear, founded by Lee Kuczewski and Declan Halpin might just be the last remaining acetate frame manufacturers left in the United States. They hand craft each pair in their Massachusetts studio. The collection features vintage acetates and is especially great for narrow faces. We couldn’t be more excited about this brand. Oh and you might have seen Lee around lately, he’s working with us.
Our friends and clients, Jonathan and Erika (of @OscarPRGirl fame) came for a visit today and bought some great new Persol Steve McQueens. Found this photo of the beautiful couple with Jon wearing Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban Shire via Bergdorf Mens via Silver Lining. If you haven’t seen the Sh*t Oscar PR Girl says video–its a must.
NFL reporter Jeff Darlington tweeted this photo of himself in Von’s vintage Gucci frames the other night in Hawaii. They are preparing for the Pro Bowl which airs tomorrow night. Better keep your glasses on for that Von.
My friend Dave showed me this awesome photo of his father on the date of his retirement in 1973. Pretty amazing photo and handsome dude! Great glasses.
Over the last few years, Luxottica owned Ray-Ban has been using “Never Hide” as their slogan and on their print ads. I found this image which I think should definitely give pause to that idea.
The combination plastic and metal frame was made so famous by Malcolm X that the frame is now often referred to as the Malcolm X style. Currently, we have beautiful combination frames from RVS by V, LA Eyeworks, Barton Perreira, Graz, and of course vintage.
